The market shows rise from 41 billion dollars to 107 billion dollars, but in India it has grown by 17 billion dollars. The growth is expected to increase by 2010."
For Xerox India, channel partners enable in driving their products in the printing market. Tuteja was of the view that channel partners and direct sale force of the company don't compete but compliment each other. They help in identifying, reaching, and ensuring good coverage to customers. Xerox India currently has a channel base of 23 partners and is planning to double the number in the coming year. Channel strategies of Xerox India are focused on 2 different segments corporate and graphic art. There're separate channel partners for each of these segments and the training is imparted in accordance with their skills. To be eligible, in both the segments, a partner is expected to have manpower and the finance to invest in the business.
In order to upgrade customers, Xerox India provides offers like the stock and sale, in order to give opportunities to replace their equipments with newer ones. Xerox India has tied up with the printers' association like the All India Federation of Master Printers and has recently had a truss with the Karnataka State Printing Association where training programs were conducted on the lines of selling and marketing.
