Zotac Announces New Motherboard

By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Aug 07, 2008 1140 hrs IST

Zotac International has unleashed its latest miniature PC platform --Zotac nForce 630i-ITX. As per the company communique, the motherboard fulfills the requirements of users seeking a high-performance platform. The platform is compatible with Intel socket LGA775 processors, Nvidia GeForce graphics and Nvidia Multi View technologies.

The platform can accommodate Intel Core 2 Quad, Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Extreme, Pentium Dual-Core and Celeron Dual-Core. The Zotac nForce 630i-ITX also supports processors with up to 1333 MHz front-side bus speed.

Powered by Nvidia GeForce 7100 graphics technology, the platform delivers DirectX 9 and Shader Model 3.0 compatibility. With support for DirectX 9, the Zotac nForce 630i-ITX is Microsoft Windows Vista Premium ready, with full support for the new Windows Aero 3D user interface.

The user can experience greater work efficiency with two independent monitors, claims the company. Dual video outputs from the platform enable dual monitor connectivity.

Commenting on this launch, Carsten Berger, marketing director, Zotac International, said, "Dual display technology allows people to work efficiently. However, dual display technology is usually limited to discrete graphics cards or micro ATX motherboards. Our Zotac nForce 630i-ITX enables users that want smaller-than-micro ATX systems to enjoy the same capabilities. The integrated GeForce 7100 graphics processor also allows users to drive dual monitors without any lag or slow-downs as well."

General details of the product include:

  • Powerful, small, dual-display compatible

  • Nvidia nForce 630i media and communications processor

  • LGA775 Socket

  • Up to 1333 MHz FSB

  • DDR2-800 compatible

  • Mini-ITX form factor

  • PCI Express x1 expansion
  • What do you think of this platform?
