By ChannelTimes Staff
Mumbai, Nov 18, 2008 1532 hrs IST

eSys Information Technologies, an IT distribution company, has launched its new mainstream desktop PC based on Intel's E5200 dual core processor. The processor is the in the family of Dual Core CPUs with 2MB L2 cache size and with a clock speed of 2.5GHz at 800MHz of FSB speed.

Vakul Bhatnagar, COO (Branded Business Group), eSys Technologies India, said, "eSys is amongst the first few companies to introduce Intel E5200 Dual Core Processor based desktops in India. We are confident that both individual and office users will benefit from the enhanced performance and low power consumption capabilities of this processor."

Apart from the processor, the new desktop is packed with 500GB of storage capacity, and also features 1GB of memory, which can be expanded to 4GB via 2 DIMM slots.

eSys' Mainstream desktop incorporates Intel G31 chipset with an on-board shared VGA memory of up to 256MB and Intel GMA3100 graphics. Apart from these, the desktop has a DVD writer to store user's important files onto the optical discs like DVDRW, CDRW and a 32-in-1 card reader.
What do you think of these desktop PCs?

eSys has been instrumental in breaking the price barrier...they have made the assemblers rethink their business strategy...if the price of a branded PC comes close to that of grey market, why would anyone buy something without warranties.
