Redington is the National winner of Most Preferred Distributor 2004

The Chennai-based company was established in the year 1993 and subsequently forayed into India at a time when the Government of India liberalized the economy through lowering of custom duties on MNC brands.

Commencing purely as a distribution house it revolutionized the market with path-breaking performances in the first three years of its operation. The company evolved its business from a small manual operation to a very large technology driven operation which provides "Best value for money" to its customers.

The keystones for this success were mainly due to immediate availability of products, most aggressive pricing and fair & transparent channel policies. Redington crossed the Rs.100 Crore mark in the 30th month of inception and today is the only distributor to register zero bad debts in the three years of its operations.

As it stands at present, Redington is recognized as the most stringent distributor in the IT industry. With a coverage of over 450 cities, Redington serves 6700 resellers including VARs, System Integrators, GID's, Government Resellers, Corporate resellers, Retailers, OEM's and E-tailers and carries products from over 15 manufacturers.

The team that forms the essence of the business entity is R Srinivasan - Managing Director, M Raghunandan - Director, J S Kulkarni - CEO, Aniruddha Joshi - Vice President (Value Businesses), and R Govindan - Vice President (Volume Businesses).
