MPD
2004 Revealed...
The results
are finally out. The Channel has spoken. And the
voice that echoes across the Indian IT Channel
has chosen Redington as their Most Preferred Distributor.
It wasn't an award
easily won though. There were many distributors
vying for the top spot - Tech Pacific, Ingram
Micro, Rashi Peripherals and Neoteric Informatique.
But in the end, Redington edged to the win.
Redington's win may
be a surprise to many, given that the company's
size and turnover aren't as impressive as some
of the others. But then, this award is about the
quality of the service they extend to the channel,
rather than their size or influence.
Time and again,
Redington has dared to rethink the traditional,
to break the mold, and to venture boldly but with
consistency. Redington has proven conclusively
that loyalty and a warm relationship maintained
with its channel members means more than a company's
size or profitability.
Not being content
at being an overall winner, Redington has also
garnered whopping support from over 17 cities
across the country as the best distributor in
the particular city. In the criteria rankings,
Ingram Micro emerged a winner in seven of the
14 criteria listed, while Redington bagged 5 and
Tech pacific and Neoteric Informatique each won
in one category.
MPD 2004 has been
unique in more ways than one. The voting form
was available only to subscribed ChannelTimes
readers – totaling 53,000 channel members,
and all those who had already voted were not allowed
to vote again. Thus eliminating any chances of
repeat votes or outside influence. That's why
we can confidently lay claim to be the most reliable
and authentic survey conducted online for the
channel till date.
