Apple Drops “Store”, To Remain As Apple

With reports of global dip in Apple sales and the rumored launch of iPhone 7 next month, tech giant Apple has decided to drop “Store” from all of its retail establishments. The changes have already reflected online as well as all store page refer to stores by names like “Apple Union Square” or “Apple Valley Fair” or “Apple The Grove,” instead of “Apple Store, Valley Fair” or “Apple Store, The Grove” reports MacRumors.

According to MacRumors Apple’s move to do away with the “Store” from the retail locations aims to turn newer stores into more than just simple stores, positioning them as gathering places for their communities. The company has already issued a memo to retailers regarding the change in the branding name.

Earlier this month, Japanese website Nikkei had reported that Foxconn Technology Group is developing a glass casing for Apple as the part of the smartphone redesign.The revamped design, as per reports, is set to be unveiled only next year and Apple is determined to boost its dipping sales and fight off competition from rivals like Samsung and Huawei. Foxconn Technology has reportedly been working on the all glass feature since last year.
