CMDA Pune’s 12th IT Expo 2009, planned to be held from Dec 11-14, will focus on the concept of Green IT and power-saving techniques.

The event, which witnessed more than 1 lakh footfall last year, will be held in association with Sakal and will see participation from vendors across the IT fraternity, said Naresh Lalwani, president, CMDA, Pune..

All major IT vendors are expected to showcase their products during the event including PCs, laptops, printers, servers, networking products, UPS, monitors, netbooks, digital cameras, scanners, among others.

The event will see a series of programs revolving around the concept of Green IT that will provide information about Green IT products, power-saving techniques, e-waste management programs to IT users, dealers and vendors. Renowned environmentalists are expected to participate in these programs to extend guidance to members.

CMDA will also be conducting 12 technical seminars during the expo to highlight latest technologies, career opportunities and trends in the IT industry.  Also, for the first time, CMDA will be holding a CIO conference to bring IT heads of organizations to discuss the latest trends and technology.
