Coimbatore, Oct 16: Coimbatore association’s (CITA) annual exhibition managed to attract a large number of small office and home segment exhibitors showcasing firewalls, large display televisions and mobile phones, which was well received by the customers.
“The mindset of the consumers are changes every now and then. The footfalls are coming down and the expectations from the customers are changing,” said G Suresh, chairman of the expo. Bala Guruswamy, former Vice-Chancellor, Anna University, Chennai, inaugurated the event.
“The response was good. Due to the rains it was not a fabulous response but it was a good show on Sunday . We brought variety of exhibition not limiting ourselves only to IT. For example, we brought in dealers into solar power energy and telecommunication partners,” said Jai Parameswaran, president of Coimbatore association.
“Some software companies were also participating and we targeted the end-customers massively through TV and radio campaigns. Hoardings were kept at all the key locations of the city and mainly college students were targeted,” he said.
