Kolkata, March 31: Computer Association of Easter India (Compass) is likely to hold an early annual election this year. The current team wants to dissolve the house sometime in the month of July and wishes to conduct its elections latest by August, said a senior official of Compass.
Speaking to ChannelTimes, Pawan Jajodia, President, Compass said, “We have already completed all the calendar events which were scheduled for this year, under my regime. Hence, I am in favour of conducting early elections, so that the new team gets ample time to plan and conduct our annual IT expo.”
Typically, Compass holds its annual general meet in the month of September, followed by elections, every year. Immediately, the new team has to prepare for its mega IT expo in the month of December.
“In my personal view, two months to hold an IT expo is very less time. Therefore, our team wants that the current team should announce early election dates. Everyone is currently busy in the financial year closing, but soon we will take a call on the election date and start the new session before September, said Jajodia.
