Kolkata, Sept 14: Ahead of its upcoming 21st AGM, Kolkata-based Compass is hosting the fourth conclave of national IT association body FAIITA in Kolkata on September 25. Compass has sent invitation to 70 IT associations across India, of which 20 have confirmed.

Post the FAIITA conclave, Compass will hold its AGM and annual election on September 29.


Pawan Jajoida, president, Compass, said, “The main FAIITA team is working on the agenda and the flow of the conclave. As hosts we are excited to welcome several IT association to our city. Till now, 20 IT associations have confirmed their participation. From each association, two-three members, including president and secretary can participate. Meanwhile, we are also looking for sponsorship to host the conclave.”

The association recently completed its one year and has organised three conclaves in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. Now, with the fourth conclave it will further solidify the foundation of FAIITA and would expand its reach in the eastern region.

Talking about the COMPASS AGM, Jajodia said, “The new team is about to take charge of Compass, as we will be holding our 21st AGM, where we will be announcing the annual election.”

He also added that he will not contest the election for the third year for the president’s post.

Jajodia has been associated with Compass body for last 19 years, and has worked in different roles from EC members, Joint Secretary , exhibition head. Under his presidentship, the association has fostered industry partnership with CeBIT, and organized annual expo among others.

“Due to health issues, I have decided not to contest this year’s election. Post the AGM, the new team will be revealing its roadmap for its most awaited annual consumer exhibition,” concluded Jajodia.
