EC Media International, a digital-content combine provider recently launched a compilation of 1000 Hindi books and an eReadermagazine application – MagsonWink. At the Delhi Book Fair, in the presence of Vayalar Ravi, cabinet minister the company also announced a short story writing contest ‘My Wink, My Words’, for writers/budding authors of Hindi literature. The winning entry will be published on Wink- an online eBook store.
“Wink is poised to be a new age catalyst in bringing together readers and publishers on the digital platform. Today’s audiences have varied content needs and are willing to experiment with new genre and titles,” opines Ravi DeeCee, founder and director, DC Group.
DeeCee further added, Via regional content availability, Wink makes available to readers access to national and international content including those that are rare, out of print and hitherto paperback editions.”
The company informed that, eReader application has been specifically designed for iPad, Blackberry and Android gadget users all over the world and supports content in 15 Indian languages. The company plans to include integration of over 150 Indian newspapers and magazines on MagsonWink application by mid-2011.
The compilation of 1000 ebooks includes classics in Hindi literature penned by Munshi Premchand, children’s books, from the Ramayana to the Mahabharata epics, etc.
