Endurance International Group Promotes Blood Donations On I-Day

Endurance International Group is celebrating the 70th Independence Day by giving back to the society. The company in partnership with Tata Memorial has organized a Platelet and Blood Donation Camp at their Mumbai and Bangalore locations from 9th to 15th August 2016.

The campaign #beahero with tagline – ‘Let’s meet for a pint – I am going to donate blood, wanna join?’ has already got our 500+ employees excited to contribute towards the noble cause.

In order to spread awareness on platelet donation, the company has organized a 30 minutes interactive session with doctors from Tata memorial on the first day of the camp. The session will focus on highlighting and educating the employees on the importance of Platelet donation. Each donor will wear the batch of honor and carry a sense of pride on completion of the activity.

The first two days of the camp saw more than 150 employees donating blood from which the team managed to collect around 90 units of blood. Out of this nearly 15 – 20 employees were first time donors. The camp also registered 3 platelet donors who will be donating platelets in a weeks’ time.

Endurance International group has also organized a NGO Mela in partnership with NGOs Srujna and Samarthanam. They have set up stalls to sell various handmade products such as different variety of bags, Kurtas, jewellery like Earings, Rakhis, Purses, soft toys, cotton bags etc. In return, Endurance will contribute equal amount to each NGO collected by selling these products. The first 2 hours of the exhibition itself saw a total sale of INR 25,000/-. Endurance strongly believes empowering women and underprivileged people and thus chose to partner with Srujna and Samarthanam.

Srujna is a registered NGO which aims at transforming underprivileged women into confident, independent and contributing members of their families and communities. Whereas, Samarthanam works towards empowering the visually impaired, disabled and underprivileged people.

Through these exhibitions, Endurance will provide these NGOs with an opportunity to not only to showcase their talent and earn a living but also help connect with the corporate world.
