The digital offset press offers addition of new markets in plastic cards, graphic overlays and high-quality imaging on synthetic substrates.

Hewlett Packard (HP) announced the launch of its new Indigo Press 5600 for the Indian market.

HP has partnered with Redington as the official distributor of this newly launched press.

“We are very bullish about the newly launched Indigo 5600 as it will open gateways for new business opportunities for our Indian print partners and the existing Indigo users,” said Puneet Chadha, Director, Graphics Solutions Business, HP Imaging and Printing Group India.

According to HP the Indigo 5600 model runs at 68 ppm in standard color mode, 136 ppm for two-color jobs and 272 ppm for mono jobs. In addition, the press features EPM, allowing color printing at 90 ppm. Customers can use the press to enter new markets in plastic cards, graphic overlays and other applications using a one-shot ink laydown feature that provides high-quality imaging on synthetic substrates.

“We are also looking forward to a great deal of partnership with Redington, who would be our official distributor of this product,” said Chadha.
