New Delhi, March 11: Premier national distributor Ingram Micro, a 46.5 billion dollar distribution house, has introduced first of its kind new value added pack for smart phones and tablets on Wednesday.
The service has been introduced by its mobility business arm. The Cover Plus pack allows users to avail an extended warranty on their premium devices over and above the one offered by the manufacturer. The distributor also provides additional one year warranty for the customers.
Atul Gaur, Executive MD, Mobility, Ingram Micro said, “By leveraging our vast presence in the Indian mobile distribution segment, we have created a unique platform by investing in a dedicated website and a state of the art in house toll free call center facility.”
The cover plus has made alliances with mobile vendors like HTC, Lenovo and Samsung. It also comes with multimedia downloads from Hungama, anti-virus protection suite from trend micro, besides insurance at no extra cost, which is backed by the Oriental Insurance.
Customers have to register with Ingram micro within 15 days from the date of purchase of device. The cover plus pack comes in two product categories Gold and Platinum pack. The distributor has already launched this service in Malaysia.
