Completing a long stint at McAfee as Regional Director for India and SAARC, Kartik Shahani, recently joined RSA, the security division of EMC, as Regional Leader for India and SAARC.
In his new role, he will be responsible for leading the company s business operations in the region and growing sales of the company s offerings in the area of security solutions for business acceleration.
Commenting on the appointment, Geoff Haydon, Vice President, Asia Pacific and Japan, RSA said, "India is one of RSA s most strategic markets. With a veteran like Sahani, I believe that RSA will be able to accelerate and further consolidate its leadership position in the Indian market."
Prior to RSA, he has held senior positions with McAfee, Netmagic and Xerox India.
Sahani who will now be based out in Mumbai said, "The online threat landscape is rapidly evolving and is compelling everyone including enterprises to protect their information and IT assets with an information-centric approach. The opportunity with RSA is an exciting one in a growth market. I look forward to building on the growth base already in place and accelerating it to new levels."
