Kolkata: Macaws Infotech, one of the leading players in Information Security Software Services from the Eastern region has bagged the ‘Best SME Partner Award’ from Sophos.

Speaking to Channel Times, Manasi Saha, CEO of the company said, “We provide end-to-end security solutions to our customers. We are working in unison with Trend Micro since 2001 and have achieved many awards and rewards in the tenure. Over 50 percent of revenue was from Trendmicro. However, moving forward I bind myself with SOPHOS, which has technically very robust product with an estimable background in the technical arena.”

Saha claims Macaws is well-known for promoting new products in the industry. “Earlier, we have successfully promoted Portwise, Watchguard, Cyberoam and many more. Now it is Sophos, that I started promoting in the year 2012 but our people’s comfort zone is with other competitive product and giving us a setback to promote before joining of Sovan Banerjee, from Sophos. After his joining, our team got confidence, faith and truth which results getting large orders from companies like Vedanta, ABP, Bandhan Bank, IMMT, NRI Fintech and more.”

Speaking about her plan for the product, Saha said, “All Sophos products are very robust and estimable in the industry compared to others. The company will go hand to hand with the existing products in Sophos and with the latest technologies like IoT, M2M if ever Sophos comes up. This year we have sold Sophos MDM, Sophos encryption, Phish threat.”

On the opportunity for security solutions in the West Bengal region, Saha feels, the cloud solution is becoming an integral part of the industry, everyone is talking about it. “I can see a great prospect in the West Bengal region. The Cloud has solutions for small industry and CMM level 5 companies, Kolkata is such a region where both the industry exists. Technology is changing very rapidly and it keeps moving at this pace everyday. We are hearing and learning new terms like IOT, M2M, Chatbots, BOT and more,” she concluded.
