Mumbai, Jan. 14: International Association of Microsoft Channel Partners (www.iamcp.org) India West chapter reinforced its focus on Mobility and Cloud platforms during a meeting here recently.

Suresh Ramani, President, IAMCP India West said that IAMCP will focus on Mobility, Cloud, Platforms, Productivity. He also informed the members that the board was in the process of devising a partnering framework which would assist the partners in partnering with other partners. This framework will involve the partnering process, types of partnering, suggested margin distribution and Mediation services from IAMCP in case of dispute.

Satabdee Hait, Partner Technical Specialist from Microsoft, speaking on Enterprise Mobility explained on how in today’s World multiple devices are being used in a company that are a mix of Windows, Androids, iPhones,. and in various form factors like PC, laptop, Tablets, Smartphones.

“Bring Your Own Device is an accepted fact. The key is that devices need access to Corporate information which should be a secure. Another trend is that of apps everywhere. Mobile Apps can be hosted on Azure. The next trend is Big Data and to make use of Big Data, you need Business Intelligence. Every company needs BI and Microsoft has Solutions for BI and Big Data,” he said. Hait also spoke about StorSimple Cloud Storage Device from Microsoft.

He spoke how it was very easy for customer to move data from on premise to Cloud. He also pointed out that Identity Management could be handled by Azure AD.

“Device Management can be done by Intune. Device can be managed as Contact without AD join. Also selective wipe of corporate data was available. Data Protection could be done using Azure RMS. If AD credentials disabled then data cannot be used, ” he said.
