Guwahati, April 28: Networking Company Netgear is looking out to spread its wings in the North East market. and has recently set up its channel business in the state of Assam.
As a part of its expansion plans, the Netgear focuses to tap North East Market. The company has chalked out aggressive strategies with its new regional distribution model and aims to garner 20 percent market share in the current fiscal.
Subhodeep Bhattacharya, Regional Director, India & SAARC, Netgear said,“North East India market presents a very large opportunity and we are working to increase our presence here. We are working to develop the distribution channel, train the partners and will shortly be announcing some recruitment plans. As a part of our immediate growth strategy, we want to expand our reach to all major cities in the North East.”
Currently the company has 40 sub-distributors and 1200 active retailers across India. The company has also scaled up its service center and started a toll-free helpline.
“Indian market is growing on Broadband adoption and SMB technology adoption and we believe that this is going to drive growth in India for some years to come. We are focused on bringing the best products for this category,” added Bhattacharya.
