Pinnacle, a division of Avid is all set to announce a new range of products, especially for on the move people and corporate executives in April and is also looking to appoint more channel partners.
The company intends to launch PC- TV -To -Go, sound bridge, show center and studio 11. In addition to the Pinnacle brand of products, the vendor is to bring Macintosh OS compatible products for the Mac users. According to Ashish Bakshi, country manager, Pinnacle Systems India, “We have identified the need of Mac compatible multimedia products and for pinnacle fulfilling the demand of this niche market would be our focus area.”
The company will also aggressively push its TV tuner cards, Pinnacle to go and home video editing solutions into B, C & D class cities. Bakshi further added, “Though pinnacle products do not appeal to masses and cater to a niche market, with the surge of digital camera, camcorders and DVD players, we assume our products will soon address the masses.”
Pinnacle will strive to capture the growing percentage of on-the-move people who are spending considerable time traveling and missing their preferred TV programme in other countries. Keeping their need in mind the company has designed its PC- TV- to go products.
“The company has to appoint a mix of channel partners as most of the products are shelf products and required demonstration. For every products we will have different product positing and go-to-market-strategy,” said Bakshi.
The vendor is announcing interesting schemes to appease the channel as well. Apart from the product innovations, Pinnacle carries out a number of below the line activities to boost sales. Recently, Pinnacle and Delhi based distributor Aditya Infotech organized an all-expense paid four-day trip for around 70 Aditya Platinum partners to Pattaya, Thailand.
With the Cricket World Cup around the corner the company has stared a special 2007 World Cup Ball scheme. Customers who buy Pinnacle products from an authorized retail partner will be eligible for this offer and will be given a scratch card on purchase of the products. This contest is valid on all Pinnacle products such as PCTV, Studio and Avid Liquid Range.
