Puducherry, Aug 19: Following the surprise resignation of Ravi Kumar as the president of The Information Technology Association of Puducherry, former secretary D. Soundara Pandian was nominated as the president recently.
Ravikumar resigned from his post supposedly owing to his personal reason, during the association’s regular monthly meeting. While the floor decided to hold an election, there was no competetive nominee and following a few members’ insistence and suggestion Soundara Pandian was elected unanimously.
Soundara Pandian in his speech to his association members said, “I will do my best to run our association for the betterment and requested all members to give their support. The new president has only eight months time as per the association’s norms and within that short span time, I will to do whatever possible for the betterment of the association.”
Asked about his immediate agenda, he said that he will interact with past president and office bearers and study about their vision and plan and based on advisor’s opinion. He also said that all activities are going to be executed and By-law implementation, Family meets programs are his other plans.
