Jaipur, August 11: Jaipur-based Rajasthan Computer Dealers Association (RCTA) recently held its elections for the two-year term.
Interestingly this year, the association saw huge turnout of members, 215 members out of 241 members cast their votes. This year’s election was the toughest election for the elected members. Each post saw 1-2 nominations for the post of president, VP, Joint Secretary, PRO and Treasurer.
Sugreev Singh Ranawat has been re-elected for the president post. He won by more than 100 votes (159/56) while Naveen Singhal of Sumanglam IT Solution won in the vice-president category by only two votes. While Deewanshu Chhabra of Beyond becomes the Joint Secretary and Dayashankar Sharma of Divakar Computronix & Systems is the PRO and Mohammed Farooq of Statr Tech Computers won as Treasurer (116/98). Mihir Sharma of Shri Ram Mihir was unopposedly elected as Secretary.
The new team will be setting its activity calendar, along with selection of different committees and its members.
Speaking to Channeltimes, Dayashankar Sharma, PRO, RCTA said, “The significant jump in election voting showed that members trust in the association. It was transparent elections. We will be working better for each dealers and members of Rajasthan.”
Sharma also pointed out the Jaipur channel market is going to see happy days as the online predatory pricing is no longer a major issue, “We have seen 25% of our customers have started coming back to retailers for their purchase,” he said.
