Tirunelveli/Bengaluru/Nellore, Aug 19: Associations across the South celebrated the Independence Day through various activities.
60 units blood in Tirunelveli:
CDAT, the association in Tirunelveli organized a blood camp, which collected 60 units of blood from the members, their families and staff. President of the association ‘Sathyam’ Kumar said that promotion for the camp was done a week prior and the association said that the camp was a success.
Blood donation camp in Belgaum:
The Belgaum IT association also conducted its second blood donation camp with the help of other local social organizations. ManojTalreja said that 45 units of blood was collected and added that the IT association had organized a team building exercise next week.
A day for ‘Chotta’ Beem and Chudki:
Based on the themes of ‘Chota’ Beem and Chudki, the Tirupur Information technology association had organized a meet where 120 participants from 42 members participated in the one-day meet. Pratheesh Mathew, VP of the association said that the event was first-of-its kind activity in the history of the association as the forum wanted to do organize events not just for the members but also for their children.
100 days Unity In Nellore:
Inspired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s speech on Independence Day, computer dealers association of Nellore, as a part of 100 days unity celebrations decided to improve the sanitation facility of a school in Nellore.
