High speed memory for laptops and notebooks
New Delhi: Strontium Technology, a global leader in PC and flash memory manufacturing has launched its branded EVM 8GB DDR3 High speed DIMM memory modules for laptops and notebooks across India.
Announcing this a news release said, EVM 8GB DDR3 Long DIMM and SODIMM single modules are high-speed, CMOS dynamic random access memory modules that use internally configured 8-bank DDR3 SDRAM devices. EVM DDR3 SDRAM modules use DDR architecture to achieve high-speed operation. DDR3 architecture is essentially 8n-prefetch architecture with an interface designed to transfer two data words per clock cycle at the I/O pins.
A single read or write access for the DDR3 SDRAM module effectively consists of a single 8nbit- wide, one-clock-cycle data transfer at the internal DRAM core and eight corresponding n-bit-wide, one-half-clock-cycle data transfers at the I/O pins. These modules use two sets of differential signals: DQS, DQS# to capture data and CK and CK# to capture commands, addresses, and control signals. Differential clocks and data strobes ensure exceptional noise immunity for these signals and provide precise crossing points to capture input signals.
EVM 8GB DDR3 memory module consumes less power compared to two 4GB DDR3 modules. They have been tested on the latest Intel and AMD platforms. These modules are designed to support standard computing services such as Internet access, e-mail, file-storage space, other office applications and many more. These high-density DDR3 modules feature a 1333 MHz and 1600MHz operating speed for multitasking, web browsing and gaming. They are fully downward compatible and run at 1.5V for maximum compatibility.
The 8GB memory upgrade would immensely help users who need to work with large data sets. Users like CAD/CAM engineers, professional and gamers can now have the option to load 32GB in their desktops or 16GB in their laptops. EVM DDR3 desktop memory is a perfect solution for those who are looking for performance at lower price range.
