SuSE Steps Up Its Channel Partner Game

Kolkata: Open source provider SuSE has introduced a new channel partner program to “address the key needs of their customers” in today’s increasingly complex business environment.

The company said, partners that resell open source enterprise technology from SuSE will benefit from the new and enhanced training and certification programs, along with “enhanced” profitability structures that recognize and reward partners’ engagement with SuSE.

The program, launched globally including India, focuses on four SUSE solution areas for channel partners: enterprise Linux, software-defined storage, OpenStack cloud and systems management.

“Enterprise IT customers need to be able to adapt quickly to changes in their markets, and so do their technology providers,” said Ronald de Jong, President of Sales at SuSE. “That’s why we’re making it easier for our reseller partners to find and use the tools that will help them provide the right SuSE solutions to their customers. That’s good business for SuSE and our partners, and great for our customers, who are always the most important part of the equation.”

Patrick Fitzgerald, Managing Director of SuSE Solution Partner i-Layer, said, “It’s great to see SuSE supporting us not only with the great technology they have always provided, but now with a dedicated program that can only strengthen our partnership.”

According to him, the new program is simple, as we are not forced to take SuSE’s entire stack and we can work with them at a level that suits us. “All they ask is that we show we can represent their solutions – which they help us do -and in return they reward our success,” he summed up.
