SUSECON Global Open Source Conference Opens Registrations For Partners

Conference

With its theme “My kind of open,” SUSECON 2019 is now welcoming attendee registrations and submissions for high-quality technical content via the call for papers for customers and partners. The global SUSE end-user conference is being held April 1-5, 2019, in Nashville, Tennessee.

By investing in collaboration and choice for partners, customers and community members, SUSE has redefined “open” to be more than just open source code. SUSECON showcases that openness in the latest software-defined infrastructure and application delivery solutions that are flexible enough to be deployed anywhere and are fueling digital transformation and business growth. IT transformation requires new technologies like Kubernetes, flexible and scalable solutions for managing IoT devices and the data they collect, and artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions powered by high-performance computing. SUSECON features these and other open source technologies and solutions that are helping enterprises build modular and agile infrastructures using multi/hybrid cloud approaches that bridge the gap between traditional IT and the IT of tomorrow.

“SUSECON has tripled in size over the past few years, while still keeping that unique spirit and energy that comes from the SUSE culture,” said Michael Miller, President of Strategy, Alliances and Marketing for SUSE. “SUSECON combines high-quality technical content with our open approach to business relationships and our commitment to an open, open source development and business model which helps customers and partners succeed. All of which is more critical to IT organizations today than ever before. SUSECON 2019 will feature deep-dive technical sessions, hands-on labs and also direct access to executives and technology experts who will provide a clear view of what’s coming next and what it means for the digital enterprise of the future.”

Each year SUSECON stretches the limits of industry user events by delivering roadmap information, technical content, education and certification opportunities (including complimentary certification exams), and networking in a fun, engaging and uniquely SUSE environment. For example, this year friends of SUSE are invited to participate in SUSECON’s legendary parody music videos. Participants can win a trip to SUSECON in Nashville and have their song produced by SUSE by submitting the top song idea with parody lyrics. The second-place idea and lyrics will also be recorded and posted to YouTube.

The SUSECON Call for Papers is open through Nov. 25. Customers, partners and community enthusiasts are encouraged to submit their session proposals.
