The Tirupur Information Technology Association (TITA) is all set to conduct its annual election on February 9, 2009. The new committee members will take charge starting April 1, 2009.
Arunagiri. R, Executive Secretary of TITA and Director of Softlink Computers, said, "We have already completed the nomination process, and the election will be held for five posts of office bearers, and 10 executive committee members. The entire process of election will be observed by three members of election committee, and 100 TITA members will be casting their vote for new office bearers."
So far, the association has received two nominations from K. Ravichandran, proprietor of Jyothi Agency and K.Subramanian of Super Computers for the post of President. K.Babu, Proprietor of Apex Info Sys Solutions, and Palanikumar, Director of Super Technologies, have filled their nomination for the post of Secretary. Besides, the association has received three nominations for VP post, one for Treasurer, and two for Joint Secretary post.
"In Tirupur, dealers have been facing 10-15 day delay of materials, since most of the vendors have stopped dumping their material in smaller towns like Tirupur, and we have to get our materials from big cities like Coimbatore, etc. Owing to the recession, some companies are reducing the numbers of their small city partners in C&D class cities, without any notification," said Arunagiri.
