Evaluation and ranking based on customer research

8 Aug, INDIA –When it comes to delivering advanced multiprotocol label switching (MPLS) and Ethernet networking solutions, Verizon Enterprise Solutions tops the list for technology, value and customer service, according to business customers interviewed and surveyed for the Nemertes 2012 PilotHouse Awards. For the third consecutive year, Verizon earned the highest ranking among Market Leaders for its MPLS services, and this year also received the distinction of Best Overall in this category, achieving the highest overall score and topping all other MPLS providers.

“The Nemertes PilotHouse Awards are particularly meaningful since our actual customers were surveyed for their experience,” said Martin Burvill, senior vice president of global operations for Verizon Enterprise Solutions. “We’ve built our advanced global IP and Ethernet platforms on a winning recipe of advanced technology and a seamless service experience worldwide. Our Verizon Enterprise Center plays a key role enabling customers to engage with us — on their own terms, in their own language and using their country’s currency — via an online portal to meet their provisioning, monitoring, reporting and trouble-shooting requirements 24 hours a day.”

Nemertes PilotHouse awards are based on primary research through in-depth interviews with IT decision-makers, who rate their vendors based on experiences with them. Nemertes augments these interviews with a broad survey of IT decision-makers. Nemertes then issues PilotHouse awards to those vendors and service providers that score top ratings in all categories.

“Led by a strong MPLS technology rating, Verizon takes top honors not only between the two Leaders (beating AT&T by a healthy margin) but also scoring ahead of all other providers, including Market Challengers,” says Henry Svendblad, principal research analyst at Nemertes Research, “Verizon’s solid win is cemented by its technology score. IT professionals generally report solid performance and reliability from Verizon’s network.”
