Channel Community Should Become More Vocal

Channel Community

-Duraikannu Soundarapandian

Our mail groups are the best platforms to can explore and share views as this regular act keeps the group meaningful and alive. However, I see a constant trend of silence among many channel partners.

One can learn only by spending time on something and discussing. But, are we really short of time? On any given situation one should try to take a strong stand. We should come out of our shells and write what we think, but without hurting anyone. Such feedbacks can help the community to grow further and to go in a feasible right track.

It is quiet common that from our institutional days we are not a multi-faceted community. However, at least from now onwards, the channel community should start learning and share useful things with others. There is no harm in bringing anyone out of the dark.

I am sure all the associations across the country will have a mail group for internal communications. It is a sad situation that many are satisfied only sending mails only for the sake of wishes, condolence and for an allegation. We cannot wait for the opportunities to come outside to take our opinions.

I appreciate those set of people, who are smart enough and are using our group to improve their business. It is sad that others have registered only to be a member. It is up to the individual to decode in how they want to participate in this association – active or notional.

Language is not a barrier for our communication; the only consideration is that the language should be understood by the majority and the writer should be comfortable with. Even in this sense, the group only has to give their opinion. Along with being critics we should learn to appreciate good works.

This doesn’t mean that we should try to impress someone, but should be fair in our judgement and should not hesitate to express ourselves. The bottom line of the story is: Practice opining and don’t be a mute spectator, after all you are also a small leaf in the tree called Indian channel industry.
