__p The Discover India Yatra 2004 conference held at Allahabad recently attracted 90 resellers and proved of immense value to the participants, infusing new enthusiasm in them.
p____p Once again Intel, LG, Epson and Xerox held the centre stage, both educating and informing the resellers about their new technology products through innovative presentations.
p____p Manish Mehrotra, president, Allahabad Computer Dealers Association, and proprietor of Tritech Enterprises, said, “The event was very informative and the
channel greatly appreciated the effort. It was well-attended by the channel and they have all found it to be fruitful.”
p____p Some resellers like Narendra, owner of ABC Computers, were all praise for Intel and LG as “their presentations, apart from being informative, covered our problems. The event has also brought to us the benefits of joining Intel’s partner programs.”
p____p Most manufacturers do not have their service stations in Allahabad, hence the channel here too face the problems of delayed service and warranty issues.
p____p Shiv Prakash, owner of Star Computech, said, “This is a great way for a reseller to come directly in touch with the vendors. We have expressed our views especially on the service front, as it takes us a minimum of a week to 10 days for any kind of service here.”
p____p Overall, the Allahabad channel is now hopeful that the vendors will sort out the service issue.
