Globesecure Tech Appoints Faisal Shaikh As Sales Director

Tech Appoints

Bengaluru: Globesecure Tech, a systems and technology integrator that offers design, integration, and technical services, has recently appointed Faisal Shaikh as Sales Director.

A seasoned professional with over 11 years of experience in the field of sales, channel business development and major market expansion, Shaikh has also helped companies of all sizes and from across the country to defend their enterprise network from cyber threats.

Shaikh joins the company from Blue Coat Systems (now Symantec) where he most recently served as Regional Sales Manager. Prior to Blue Coat, Faisal held numerous strategic sales roles at Novell & Hewlett-Packard. Faisal played a key role at Blue Coat, Novell & HP in business expansion by acquiring new logos.

Saravanan Narayanasamy, Director, Globesecure Technologies, said, “Faisal brings value and experience on business by understanding SI and OEM culture. We strongly believe it will help us grow multifold by next financial year. We will concentrate on niche solutions and create unique identity and expertise”.

“Much of large enterprise cyber security has for many years now was a compliance requirement as opposed to defense or protect. Of course, often they overlap, but I believe in 2017 there will be a greater focus on ensuring security as opposed to demonstrating compliance,” Shaikh told Channel Times.

“In 2016 we have seen more many target, ransomware, DDoS attacks than ever & the trend will continue to grow in 2017. Moreover, it could move from a strictly financially-driven crime into attempts to affect strategic outcomes. And with the increase in adoption & dependency on cloud, mobility, IoT the threat landscape is even bigger & let’s not forget the scarcity of skilled security operations center resources for enterprises to tackle such attacks or incidents.”

“For too long, information security has been a piecemeal battle. Security leaders have been forced to stitch together an array of point products that weren’t designed to work together, leaving gaps and overlaps in their ability to fight the bad guys. So, as a niche player in the enterprise network & security space we at GST would like help enterprises address security gaps at network, endpoint & applications (either on premise or cloud) level.

“By partnering with few leading network & security vendors in space of EDR, Deception, CASB, NGFW, DDoS, etc. We will continue to evolve & prepare ourselves by partnering with newer niche technologies to combat the growing threat landscape,” he added.

In his new role Shaikh will identify newer trends in cyber security and partner with the vendors in that space and develop a network security architecture framework which is perceived by customer as a true vale add & a differentiator from my competition.
