New Delhi: The Korean Smartphone manufacturer Samsung has announced that versions of the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be available through six resellers and four distributors and multiple retailers.

The Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ are now available for enterprise buyers through resellers CDW, Insight, Connection, SHI, PCM and Zones and distributors Ingram Micro, Synnex, Tech Data and Vertex Wireless. The devices work on most U.S. and international networks, empowering users with freedom to standardize and customize based on organizational needs and providing an optimal user experience with fewer pre-loaded applications, the company said.

“The unlocked versions of the smartphones offer the same cutting-edge innovation as Galaxy S8 and S8+ launched in late April. Featuring an always-on Infinity Display with near bezel-less design, the phones also boast smarter performance with the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor. Galaxy S8 and S8+ are built upon the Galaxy foundation of IP68 water and dust resistance1, MicroSD support up to 256GB, and fast and wireless charging,” it added.

Samsung said that it built its Knox security platform which uses five-layer authentication, protecting critical business data while allowing private access to personal data. “Samsung Knox is also certified by 29 government organizations, and Samsung Knox 2.6 received the most “strong” ratings of any mobile security platform in the Gartner “Mobile Device Security: A Comparison of Platforms” report.

Finally, through Samsung’s security update regime, unlocked by Samsung devices are kept up to date with the latest security patches to keep hackers out and organizational data safe,” it said.
The phones will be available for individual purchase through retailers Amazon, Best Buy, Ebay and Target.com.
